Rutgers Hosts Villanova In Pivotal BIG EAST Baseball Series This Weekend |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. The Rutgers baseball team hosts Villanova this weekend at Bainton Field in a series that should help shape the BIG EAST Tournament field. The Scarlet Knights and Wildcats open their series with a 3:00 p.m. game Friday, followed by 1:00 p.m. games Saturday and Sunday at Bainton Field with Sunday's game serving as Senior Day on RU's final home game of the season. |

The Hawks (29-10) scored three runs in the first four innings and used a strong performance on the mound from the trio of Kyle Breese, Tim Ballard and Justin Esposito to escape victory over the Scarlet Knights (19-23-1). |
