Both Mike Carter and Gaby Rosa of the Rutgers baseball squad were named to the 2014 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American Team as selected by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. The two are the 26th and 27th players in program history to earn All-America status.

In its final game of pool play at the American Championships at Bright House Field, Rutgers baseball dropped 9-3 to top-seed Louisville. The Scarlet Knights end the season with a 30-25 record.

Rutgers baseball dropped the middle game of its pool play at the American Championships to Memphis, 5-1, Friday at Bright House Field. The Scarlet Knights are now 1-1 in the tournament with one more game remaining in pool action.

Rutgers baseball scored eight runs in the third inning and sophomore Howie Brey (Middletown, N.J.) pitched seven shutout innings on the way to a 10-0 win over USF Wednesday in the American Championship at Bright House Field.

May-20-14 Six Earn All-Conference Honors
Led by senior Nick Favatella (Washington Township, N.J.) earning first-team honors, six members of the Rutgers baseball team were named All-American Athletic Conference Tuesday at the tournament banquet.
