June-21-04 Frazier Signs Contract with Detroit Tigers
PISCATAWAY, NJ – All-American outfielder Jeff Frazier (Toms River, NJ) became the fifth and final member of the 2004 Rutgers baseball team to sign a professional contract when he agreed to terms with the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Frazier, the team’s third-round selection, is headed to the Oneonta Tigers of the NY-Penn League and is expected to make his debut at some point this week.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers University outfielder Jeff Frazier (Toms River, NJ) has been named one of 10 finalists for the Dick Howser Trophy, given annually to the top player in collegiate baseball. The winner will be announced at the College World Series in Omaha on Friday, June 18 at 9:30 a.m. CDT.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The successful career of Rutgers pitcher Jack Egbert (Rutherford, NJ) came to an end on Wednesday, when he signed a professional contract with the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox selected him in the 13th round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player draft last Monday, June 7.
