PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Incoming Rutgers freshman Nikki Speed (Pasadena, Calif.) was selected to the USA Basketball Women's U18 National Team, it was announced today. Speed was one of 12 named to the national team from a pool of 35 of the nation's best 18-year olds and younger.

TAKING THE REIGNS
On a team enriched with an abundance of talent, a wealth of veteran experience, and leadership from numerous seniors, one would think it tough for an underclassman to make a name for herself. However, sophomore guard Epiphanny Prince is doing just that as she continues to garner more and more fans with every game changing play she makes on the court.
Prince's value could be readily seen when she exploded for a career-high 33 points, including 27 in the second half, during a 73-71 upset victory over No. 1 and previously undefeated Connecticut on Feb. 5. Trailing by 10 points in the second half, Prince sparked a 14-4 Scarlet Knights run in which she scored 12 of the team's 14 points.
