2007-08 Season Review |
| The 2007-08 Rutgers men’s basketball season was marked by consistent growth and provided a glimpse of big things to come “On the Banks.” The Scarlet Knights’ young roster featured just one senior and saw three true freshmen earn significant playing time. When the campaign came to a close, it revealed back-to-back win over nationally-ranked foes, the signing of the first McDonald’s All-American in team annals, a sophomore ranked among the nation’s top shot blockers, a National Freshman of the Week, a BIG EAST All-Rookie honoree and a come-from-behind victory over rival Seton Hall in the season finale. |

RU Court Club Holds Inaugural NCAA Championship Beefsteak Dinner |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The inaugural Rutgers Court Club NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Beefsteak Dinner was a resounding success Monday night. More than 400 people attended the event, which featured a celebrity basketball panel, large screen televisions, live auctions and all-you-can-eat filet mignon for just $40.00 dollars per person. Proceeds from the Dinner will be utilized is to resurface the original hardwood flooring at the RAC. The Court Club and the Scarlet Knights wish to thank all of the attendees for their generous support. |

| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Freshman guard Justin Sofman (West Milford, N.J.) has decided to leave Rutgers University, it was announced today by head coach Fred Hill. Sofman played in 14 games in 2007-08, averaging 2.0 points in 5.1 minutes per contest. |

Rosario Helps East to Victory in McDonald’s All-America Game |
| MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - Incoming Scarlet Knights guard Mike Rosario scored 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting and added five steals to help the East squad to a 107-102 win over the West in the 2008 McDonald's All-America game played Wednesday evening at the Bradley Center . The first McDonald's All-American in the history of the Rutgers men's program, the nationally-televised performance capped a stellar senior campaign for the 6-3, 190 pound shooting guard, who led his Saint Anthony's squad to a 32-0 season and the No. 1 ranking in the USA Today Super 25 poll. |
