PISCATAWAY, N.J. (October 12, 2009) - Rutgers Men's Basketball, in conjunction with the NJSIAA and NJSCA, will host its annual New Jersey Greats of the Game Coaches Clinic on Friday, October 16, at the Louis Brown Athletic Center from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Returning to the Garden State to instruct in the clinic is former NBA and Seton Hall head coach P.J. Carlesimo, He will be joined by Rutgers head coach Fred Hill, former Providence head coach Tim Welsh and former Fairleigh Dickinson head coach Tom Green.
The clinic will cover a wide range of topics, including building a man-to-man defense, building a zone defense, 2-3 zone concepts, transition offense, individual skill improvement and continuity offense. The event marks the fourth straight year that the Scarlet Knights have hosted such a resource at the RAC.
Attending coaches will enjoy a tailgate party in Athlete’s Glen afterwards, before also taking in the ESPN-televised Rutgers versus Pittsburgh football game that evening at Rutgers Stadium.
