Ray, a Preseason All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention selection, scored a team second-best 10.2 points last season, ranked third in assists (2.0) and was fourth in rebounding (3.8). The Bronx. N.Y., native led the team in three-pointers with 49, raising her career total to 123 - sixth all-time in the RU record book. Ray is a Biological Sciences major with career aspirations to become a doctor. She was a 2009 member of the BIG EAST Academic All-Star team.

 

Rutgers recorded a 21-13 overall record last season, advancing to its fifth straight NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen showing. The streak is the second-longest in the nation. RU concluded the 2008-09 conference regular season slate with a 9-7 mark.
