Heather ZurichAs a sophomore (2006-07): Started 33 of the Scarlet Knights' 36 games on the season, including the last 27 straight …Averaged 5.3 points and 1.9 rebounds per game … Shot 42.2 percent from the field on the year … Averaged 6.5 points per game in the 2007 NCAA Tournament, shooting 51.6 percent from the floor … Scored at least two points in every contest but four  … Compiled a 17-game streak of consecutive scoring games … Had five points in consecutive games at Pepperdine, versus Florida and versus Penn State to begin the season … Scored six points at DePaul on Dec. 7, knocking down two three-pointers … Had career-best six rebounds on three occasions, firstly versus Ole Miss on Dec. 12 … Registered seven points – all in the first half - and four rebounds at St. John's on Jan. 2 … Went 3-of-5 from the field versus the Red Storm … Added seven points at Louisville on Jan. 21 … First double-digit scoring contest of career came at Temple on Jan. 28, 12 points – on a 5-of-7 effort – with five assists … Had 11 points, hitting 5-of-6 from the perimeter, with three assists versus Cincinnati on Feb. 3 …  Had a career night at Villanova on Feb. 17, scoring 13 points … Went 6-of-11 from the field and added four assists versus the Wildcats … Scored 10 points against Providence on Feb. 20, going  5-of-6 from the field … Also, dished out three assists and had a career-high two blocked shots … The two-consecutive double-digit games were a first in her career …  Over the first three games of the NCAA Tournament, shot 10-of-15 (.667) from the field … Had nine points and five boards in NCAA Tournament first round game versus East Carolina on March 18 …Scored seven points, including a 2-for-2 performance from free throw line, versus Michigan State on March 20 … Collected eight points in 25 minutes versus Duke on March 24, including the basket that pulled RU to within two late in the game … Had seven points and six rebounds versus LSU in the national semifinal contest … Played 895 minutes on the season, compared to 80 total the previous season.

As a freshman (2005-2006):  Played in 20 games for the Scarlet Knights, making one start ... Averaged 1.0 point and 0.4 rebound per game ... Made her collegiate debut against North Florida Nov. 25 at the Junkanoo Jam, collecting two points in five minutes ... Scored three points against Bethune-Cookman Nov. 29 ... Posted five points and three rebounds against Old Dominion Dec. 9 ... Made her first start Jan. 14 against Seton Hall.

Prior to Rutgers:  Averaged 19.3 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game as a senior at Pascack Valley High School ... Was named the 2005 Star-Ledger Player of the Year ... Earned a spot on the Star-Ledger, Record and Associated Press All-State First Teams ... Scored 1,798 career points and led Pascack Valley to a four-year record of 106-9 ... Won four league titles ... Pascack Valley posted a 29-2 mark in 2005, winning the Group 2 state title and advancing to the semifinals of the Tournament of Champions ... Averaged 18 points per game as a junior ... A participant at the 2004 adidas All-America Camp, she was named to the Associated Press All-State Third Team, The Record All-Region First (2004) and Second (2003) Teams, the All-State Underclass First Team (2003), and the Star-Ledger All-County First Team (2003-2004) ... Played for Jeff Jasper, who coached former Scarlet Knight Cappie Pondexter in the 2001 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America Game ... Also played club ball with the Central Jersey Hawks ... Is enrolled at Rutgers College ... Parents are George and Lorrie Zurich ... Is the oldest of three children.
