BRONX, N.Y. – The Rutgers men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the 2008 BIG EAST Cross Country Championship on Friday, Oct. 31 at Van Courtlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. The men’s squad finished 10th (283 points) out of 14 schools in an 8k race, while the women took 11th (335) among 16 conference members in the 6k.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Rutgers women’s cross country team split its squad on Saturday, sending several runners to the Leopard Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa., while another group traveled to Terre Haute, Ind. for the 2008 Pre-Nationals on the campus of Indiana State University.

BRONX, N.Y. – Senior Cheyenne Ogletree (Garfield, N.J.) put forth an outstanding showing, capturing the 2008 Metropolitan Championship on Friday, Oct. 10, at Van Courtlandt Park in NY. Overall, the Rutgers women's cross country team finished as runners-up in the 6k race with 74 points, just six points behind team winner Columbia (68).

BRONX, N.Y. – The Rutgers men's cross country team collected 86 points to finish third at the 2008 Metropolitan Championships on Friday, Oct. 10 at Van Courtlandt Park in N.Y. The Scarlet Knights had three runners finish in the top 20 (out of 130) in the 8k race.
