EASTON, Pa. (October 17, 2009) – The Rutgers men’s cross country team, led by graduate student Taylor Burmeister (Concord, Mass.) and junior Nick Miehe (Elmwood Park, N.J.), collected 75 points en route to a third-place finish at the Leopard’s Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Burmeister and Miehe paced the Scarlet Knight pack, finishing third and fourth, respectively. Burmeister ran a time of 26:11.80, followed closely by Miehe in 26:28.40. Junior Kevin Cronin (Linwood, N.J.) took 15th in 26:44.40, while seniors Michael Crum (Andover, N.J.) and Jayram Sataluri (Holmdel, N.J.) finished back-to-back in 26th and 27th, respectively. Crum ran a time of 27:10.80, followed by Sataluri in 27:12.40 to round out Rutgers’ point total.
Both the RU men’s and women’s squads will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 31, for the BIG EAST Championship in Kenosha, Wis.
