Rutgers Tops Indiana in Overtime at BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge, 2-1 |
| SYRACUSE, NY – The Rutgers
field hockey team (2-3) topped the Hoosiers of Indiana University (1-4) in overtime,
2-1, this evening on the opening day of the BIG EAST/ Big Ten Challenge at Coyne
Field in Syracuse, NY. Junior Leann Grondski (Mercerville, NJ) gave RU its second
consecutive win with her second game-winning goal of the season. |

Rutgers Defeats Fairfield in Penalty Strokes 2-1 |
| FAIRFIELD, CT – The Rutgers field hockey team
(1-3) picked up its first win of the season as the Scarlet Knights forced Fairfield
(2-1) to penalty strokes this afternoon. The Scarlet Knights topped the Stags,
who received votes in the latest STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association
(NFCHA) Top 20 Coaches Poll, 2-1, after junior Leann Grondski (Mercerville,
NJ) made the final stroke of the third series to give RU the 5-4 advantage in
strokes made. |

Rutgers Falls In Penalty Strokes to Pacific, 2-1 |
| STANFORD, CA – The Rutgers field hockey team (0-1)
fell in a double-overtime match with University of the Pacific (1-0), 2-1, after
going to penalty strokes Saturday night in a neutral-site match, hosted by Stanford
University. |
