PISCATAWAY, N.J. (May 14, 2014) – The Rutgers field hockey team posted a perfect 1000 Academic Progress Rate (APR) in 2012-13. The Scarlet Knights posted a multi-year score of 997, which is based on the 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 academic years.
The multiyear score ranks in the 80th-90th percentile among all sports and the 70th-80th percentile within the sport. The score of 997 ranks tied for 15th among Division I field hockey programs and was third among BIG EAST programs.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.
