May 7, 2008 Blaszczyk Named to Rimington Award Watch List
NEW YORK , N.Y. - The Rimington Trophy committee has released its 2008 Spring Watch List and Rutgers' Ryan Blaszczyk (Medford Lakes, N.J.) has been named to the list. In all, there are 42 players on the watch list for the award given annually to the nation's top center.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers football team was ranked No. 3 in the nation in the Academic Progress Rate according to the latest APR figures released by the NCAA today. The Scarlet Knights have a four-year APR score of 977, which covers the academic years of 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07.

May 6, 2008 Experience Premium Seating at Rutgers Stadium
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football fans will have the opportunity to experience premium seating at Rutgers Stadium beginning in 2008 with the completion of the new mezzanine-level seating at Rutgers Stadium. The new, state-of-the-art mezzanine level will include over 850 seats and 28 loge boxes that will provide a unique game experience beginning on Labor Day when the 2008 season starts on ESPN as the Scarlet Knights host Fresno State.

May 6, 2008 Rutgers Football Ranked No. 22 in Athlon Preseason Magazine
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers football team was ranked No. 22 in Athlon Magazine's Preseason Top 25 poll, which was released today on AthlonSports.com. The Scarlet Knights return 15 starters from last season's 8-5 squad that won the program's second consecutive bowl with a 52-30 victory vs. Ball State in the International Bowl.

May 2, 2008 Girault Signs NFL Free Agent Contract with Kansas City Chiefs
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced Friday that former Rutgers standout strong safety Ron Girault (Spring Valley, N.Y.) has signed a free agent contract with the organization. Girault, a four-year starter for the Scarlet Knights, is the 16th former Scarlet Knight to be on a current NFL roster.

April 30, 2008 BIG EAST Announces Partnership with Newly Launched St. Petersburg Bowl
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The BIG EAST Conference has announced a partnership with the newly launched St. Petersburg Bowl that will pit the conference's representative against an opponent from Conference USA at Tropicana Field beginning in 2008.

April 29, 2008 Foster Signs NFL Free Agent Contract with Colts
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that former Rutgers All-American Eric Foster (Homestead, Fla.) has signed a free agent contract with the organization. Foster, a two-time All-America selection for Rutgers as a junior and senior, is the 15th former Scarlet Knight to be on a current NFL roster.

April 27, 2008 Zuttah Selected in Third Round of NFL Draft by Tampa Bay
NEW YORK, N.Y. – Rutgers senior offensive tackle Jeremy Zuttah (Edison, N.J.) was selected in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Zuttah, a two-time All-BIG EAST offensive line selection at Rutgers, was the second Scarlet Knight selected in the 2008 NFL Draft after Ray Rice was taken with the No. 55 pick by the Baltimore Ravens yesterday.

April 26, 2008 Rice Selected in Second Round by Baltimore Ravens in NFL Draft
NEW YORK, N.Y. – Two-time Rutgers All-America running back Ray Rice (New Rochelle, N.Y.) was selected in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. The nation's second-leading rusher in 2007, Rice rushed for 2,012 yards and scored 25 touchdowns in 2007 to help lead Rutgers to its third straight bowl and second consecutive bowl victory.
