  • PISCATAWAY, N.J. (June 19, 2012) –Rutgers Athletics has announced a new weekly radio show featuring head football coach Kyle Flood along with co-hosts Chris Carlin and former Scarlet Knight Eric LeGrand for the 2012 season at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ in New Brunswick.

The one-hour show airs Wednesdays during the season from 8-9 p.m. live on WCTC-1450 AM along with a live video feed on ScarletKnights.com via RVision. The show allows fans to come out to see Coach Flood at Brother Jimmy’s and ask questions or call-in each week for insight and commentary from the first-year Rutgers head coach.

Brother Jimmy’s BBQ location in New Brunswick will be right next to the train station and the Gateway Parking Deck. The 8,000 square foot space opening in September 2012, located right off of Rutgers’ campus in downtown New Brunswick, will be the first company-owned Brother Jimmy’s BBQ store located outside Manhattan. Its 200+ seated capacity will contain several signature areas similar to its New York City stores, 40 HD TVs and a stage for live music.  The design will mimic the rustic and antique atmosphere of a southern roadhouse, characteristic of all Brother Jimmy’s venues. The layout successfully blends the bar with the dining areas; combining the two environments for a heightened experience.

With the current construction of the Brother Jimmy’s BBQ location in New Brunswick, the first few shows could be moved to the Audi Rutgers Club pending the completion of the project.

Brother Jimmy’s® BBQ: Since opening its first restaurant in Manhattan in 1989, Brother Jimmy’s BBQ has grown into a well-known Southern BBQ restaurant and nightlife spot operating six full service restaurants in Manhattan, Brother Jimmy’s BBQ Express located in Grand Central Station, Jimmy’s Burger Shack and a Yankee Stadium concession. Brother Jimmy’s BBQ is a brand that embodies consistent quality Southern BBQ, for lunch, dinner and brunch as stated by its slogan “Put Some South in Yo’ Mouth®” and a nightlife venue consistently rated at the top in several categories of Zagat Nightlife. The brand is focused on creating an environment infused with Southern hospitality including upbeat music, distinctive décor and an energetic wait staff.
