PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 18, 2013) – The BIG EAST Conference announced the 2013 home and away football opponents for each conference member Friday. Rutgers hosts Houston, Cincinnati, USF and Temple at High Point Solutions Stadium in 2013.
The Scarlet Knights travel to SMU, UCF, Connecticut and Louisville to round out the eight-game BIG EAST slate.
The only change to the schedule that was previously announced in December is the road game at SMU. The visit to Dallas replaces Rutgers’ game at Boise State after the Broncos decided to remain in the Mountain West Conference and not join the BIG EAST.
Rutgers opens the 2013 season Thursday, August 29 at Fresno State. The Scarlet Knights round out the 2013 non-conference schedule with home games against Norfolk State (September 7), Eastern Michigan (September 14) and Arkansas (September 21). The visit by the Razorbacks marks the first time a SEC team will play on-campus against the Scarlet Knights. Dates and television coverage for next season will be released at a later date.
