As we approach the opening kickoff for the 2007 season, the level of interest in the Rutgers Football program is at an all-time high, and we're closer to achieving the goals that we all aspired to when Greg Schiano was chosen to lead this program as head coach back in December of 2000.

Bob MulcahyAll of the hard work and effort of the coaches, the staff and most importantly the student-athletes has resulted in considerable achievement both on the field, including consecutive bowl appearances, Top 25 rankings and our first bowl victory, and off the field, where the Scarlet Knights are one of the nation's leaders in the APR and are active in the community.

Everyone associated with Rutgers football is grateful for the overwhelming support provided by our alumni and fans. Your role as season ticket holders and Scarlet R members is critical to our continued development.  We welcome all of our new season ticket holders, and to those returning, we greatly appreciate the support you've given through the years. Our goal is to continue to make the Rutgers Football game day experience an enjoyable for all of our fans.

But there is still work to do, and with progress comes change as we continue to grow and develop as a program. As we enter the 2007 season, demand for tickets is at an all-time high. Our waiting list for season tickets is nearly 6,000, and the few single game tickets available have been allocated to those on that list. Demand for parking in the Rutgers Stadium will be at an all-time high as well, as requests for parking for the 2007 season have increased by nearly 2,000 from the number allotted last season. Parking passes have been allocated based on the priority points system. We've identified and will utilize additional parking lots on game days. Fans with parking passes are also reminded to check and review the back of the pass for directions to your specific parking area.

We've had several meetings with members of our operations and transportation departments, as well as University Police and Piscataway Police departments, in an effort to move vehicles more efficiently on the roadways surrounding Rutgers Stadium on game days. We encourage all ticket holders to come early, and follow the directions given by law enforcement officials and members of the parking staff, as well as follow the signage in these areas. We will also be prepared to make adjustments throughout the season as warranted to allow vehicle and foot traffic to flow as smoothly as possible.

We realize the tremendous need for those who want to be part of Rutgers football this season, and we are working diligently to achieve the most equitable ways to accommodate Rutgers football fans in the future. Your patience and understanding in all of these areas is greatly appreciated.
