December-05-07 Golf Signs Five Student-Athletes to National Letters of Intent
Piscataway, N.J. – Rutgers golf coach Maura Ballard today announced that five student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to compete for the Scarlet Knights. Andrew Tursky (Hillsborough, N.J.) will join the men's team, while Anne McNeil (Jacksonville, Fla.), Elizabeth Carl (Mendota Heights, Minn.), Elisa Mateer (Marmora, N.J.) and Brooke Stepanek (Guilford, Conn.) will compete for the women's squad.

October-13-07 Women’s Golf Ties for 5th Place in Rutgers Invitational
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's golf team finished the Rutgers Invitational in a three-way tie for 5th place with a team total of 666 (336-330). University of South Carolina-Upstate (344-322) and Bucknell University (341-325) also finished at 666.

October-12-07 Women’s Golf in 4th Place after Round One of Rutgers Invitational
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's golf team is in 4th place with a 336 team total after round one of the Rutgers Invitational, played Friday, Oct. 12, at the Rutgers Golf Course in Piscataway, N.J. Although rain delayed the start of the tournament, the Scarlet Knights played well, with two players finishing among the top twenty.

October-07-07 Scarlet Knight Women Place 9th at ECAC Golf Championship
WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - The Rutgers women's golf team finished 9th with a 651 (328-323) total at the 2007 ECAC Women's Division I Golf Championship, played October 6-7 at Kiskiask Golf Club. Junior Lauren Huhnerkoch (Burnsville, Minn.) paced the Scarlet Knights for the second straight event, carding a 15-over par 159 (81-78) to finish tied for 25th on the par 72, 6,075-yard course.

October-01-07 Scarlet Knights Place 13th at Nittany Lion Women’s Invitational
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - The Rutgers women's golf team finished 13th with a 1057 (354-343-360) total at the Nittany Lion Women's Invitational, played September 31 to October 1 at the Penn State Golf Course. Junior Lauren Huhnerkoch (Burnsville, Minn.) paced the Scarlet Knights, carding a 257 (88-84-85) on the par 72, 6300-yard course.

September-18-07 Scarlet Knights Place 11th at Colonial Intercollegiate
Williamsburg, Va. - The Rutgers women's golf team placed 11th overall with a 699 (361-338) total at the Colonial Intercollegiate, played September 17-18, at the Jamestown Course at Williamsburg National Golf Club. Freshman Daley Owens (Taylorsville, Utah) paced the Scarlet Knights in her first collegiate event, carding a 174 (89-85) on the par 72, 6,279-yard course.

April-16-07 Hartford Women’s Golf Invitational Rained Out
HARTFORD, Conn. – The Rutgers women’s golf team’s final tournament of the season, the Hartford Invitational, has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers women's golfer Lauren Braswell (Basking Ridge, N.J.) was featured April 5 on an ABC World News segment with Charles Gibson. The piece focused on Tigers Woods and his effect on minority participation in golf.

March-25-07 Women’s Golf Opens Spring Season With Ninth-Place Finish
CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. – Senior co-captain Lauren Braswell (Basking Ridge, N.J.) tied for 20th overall as the Rutgers women's golf team placed ninth at the season-opening Cincinnati Spring Invitational in Crystal River, Fla., on Friday and Saturday. The teams played 18 holes each day on the par-72, 6,074-yard Plantation Inn Golf Course.

December-08-06 Women’s Golf Inks Four During Signing Period
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women’s golf team has announced the signing of four recruits during the early signing period. Terry Grandis, Jeanne Waters, Daley Owens, and Morgan Yoder will all join the Scarlet Knights for the 2007-2008 season.
