PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers midfielder Michelle Poole (Long Valley, N.J.) has been selected to play in the 2009 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association/Under Armour North/South Senior All-Star game on Saturday, June 13th at the United Sports Training Center in Downington, Pa.
“Michelle really deserves this honor,” said head coach Laura Brand-Sias. “She was a valuable member of this program and I’m proud to have her as an alumna. She embodied the values that we preach here at Rutgers and I’m glad she has the opportunity to represent us in this game.”
Poole put together a solid senior campaign in 2009, playing in all 16 games and scoring 12 goals. The Long Valley, N.J. native also added five assists on the year and her 17 total points ranked third on the squad. Additionally, Poole won 19 draw controls, scooped 17 groundballs and caused nine turnovers.
The 2009 IWLCA Under Armour North/South All-Star game will feature the nation’s top seniors on the Division I, II and III levels. The Division I game is scheduled for 12 noon.
