November-13-04 RU Wrestling Opens Season With Eighth-Place Finish at Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Showcase
BROCKPORT, NY – The Rutgers University wrestling team opened the 2004-05 season with an eighth-place showing at the SUNY Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Showcase Classic. The Scarlet Knights finished with 52.0 points in the 11-school tournament, one point behind Buffalo.

November-11-04 Karcz, LaBrocca Earn BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Honors
SOMERSET, NJ - Senior forward Chris Karcz (Clifton, NJ) and sophomore midfielder Nick LaBrocca (Howell, NJ) each earned All-BIG EAST men’s soccer honors it was announced on Thursday night at the league’s postseason awards banquet held at the Doubletree Hotel in Somerset, NJ. LaBrocca earned second team honors, while Karcz was a third team selection. Voting was conducted among the league’s 12 head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Sammeika Thrash (Birmingham, AL), Kia Vaughn (New York, NY) and Heather Zurich (Hillsdale, NJ) have signed national letters of intent to join the nationally-ranked Rutgers women’s basketball team and play for the Scarlet Knights beginning with the 2005-2006 season, 10th-year head coach C.
