West Windsor, N.J. (May 13, 2012) – Rutgers rowers Katherine Geithman and Katie Quinn were named to the BIG EAST All-Conference team, the conference announced on Sunday, May 13 following the championship regatta.

Geithman – a senior and a three-year team captain – was named to the first team, after being selected on the second team in 2011. Quinn was placed on the All-BIG EAST Second Team.

The Scarlet Knights ranked sixth overall at the BIG EAST Championship on Sunday. Notre Dame won its ninth-straight conference title. The varsity eight finished sixth (6:38.569), while the second varsity eight ranked seventh with a time of 6:57.627.

The RU varsity four earned a bronze medal in the final with a time of 7:49.353.  The second varsity four also placed third (8:07.624).

In the varsity eight petite final, the Scarlet Knights finished first with a time of 6:54.521.
