Larnaca, Cyprus (March 6, 2013) – Rutgers women’s soccer forward Jonelle Filigno (Mississauga, ON, Canada) earned the start as the Canadian Women’s National Team defeated Switzerland, 2-0, in the opening round of the Cyprus Cup on Wednesday morning at GSZ Stadium.

Filigno played the entire game, nearly connecting in the 41st minute on a pass from Christabel Oduro. Canada will take on Finland this Friday at 10:30 a.m. ET.
