Lindley Tabbed Most Valuable Player at Annual Softball Banquet |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Sophomore pitcher Nicole Lindley (Cicero, N.Y.) was named the Most Valuable Player at the Rutgers softball team's annual postseason banquet on Saturday, May 3. Lindley led the Scarlet Knight rotation in a number of categories, including a team-low ERA of 3.56 and a record of 9-7 on the season. |

Rutgers Softball Falls to LIU in Season Finale |
| BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Rutgers softball team (23-32) closed out its 2008 season with a 4-0 lost at LIU (31-15) on Thursday evening. Four Scarlet Knights, seniors Shantai Dixon (Sayreville, N.J.), Ashley Hartley (Ripon, Calif.), Mallory Miller (Anaheim, Calif.) and Christine Royland (Westwood, N.J.), played in the final contest of their collegiate careers. |

| VILLANOVA, Pa. – Sophomore Nicole Lindley (Cicero, N.Y.) pitched effectively, earning the game one victory as the Rutgers softball team (23-31, 7-15 BIG EAST) split its BIG EAST doubleheader with Villanova (19-29-1, 7-15 BIG EAST) on Tuesday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights won the opening game 6-1, but fell in game two 11-4. |

Yard, Lindley Guide Rutgers Softball to Sweep Over Seton Hall |
| SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Scarlet Knights received stellar performances from its two pitchers junior Chrissy Yard (Hillsborough, N.J.) and sophomore Nicole Lindley (Cicero, N.Y.) as the Rutgers softball team (22-30, 6-14 BIG EAST) swept instate rival Seton Hall (20-33, 6-16 BIG EAST) in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at the Ivy Hill Park in South Orange. RU defeated the Pirates 5-4 in the first game and shutout SHU 1-0 in game two. |

| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers softball team (18-28, 3-13 BIG EAST) dropped a pair of close games to conference rival Connecticut (24-16, 11-3 BIG EAST) on Sunday afternoon at the RU Softball Complex. The Huskies rallied to pick up the 7-4 extra-inning victory in game one and took game two by a score of 2-0. |
