February-21-03 Women in Second, Men Third After Second Day of BIG EAST Championships
EAST MEADOW, NY – The Rutgers men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have completed 27 events at the 2003 BIG EAST Championships at the Nassau County Aquatics Center. The women find themselves in second place after day two of the three-day event with 428 points, 73 behind Notre Dame. The men sit in third place with 364.5 points.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers senior women’s swimmer Erin McIntyre (Broomfield, CO) has been named the 2002-03 BIG EAST/Aeropostale Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league office announced today.

February-01-03 Rutgers Swimming and Diving Falls to Penn State
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Despite a pair of first-place finishes from Sean Smith (Oklahoma City, OK) on the men’s side and a 1-2 finish in the 200 IM by the women, the Rutgers University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams fell to Penn State today in action at the Sonny Werblin Recreational Center. Penn State’s men won by a score of 146-95, while the Nittany Lion women won, 157-86.

January-24-03 RU Men Down Columbia, 123-112
NEW YORK, NY -- The Rutgers men’s swimming and diving team earned its fifth victory of the season Friday, defeating Columbia, 123-112. The Scarlet Knights are now 5-2 in dual meet competition heading into the final dual meet of the season, Saturday, Feb. 1, against Penn State at the Rutgers Aquatics Center.

January-18-03 Rutgers Sweeps Seton Hall and St. John's
PISCATAWAY, NJ -- The Rutgers men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams both improved to 4-2 on the season with victories over St. John’s and Seton Hall on Saturday at the Rutgers Aquatics Center. The men, 4-0 in BIG EAST competition defeated the Pirates, 199-91, before knocking off the Red Storm, 140.5-120.5. The women beat SHU, 176-98, while downing St. John’s 140-108.

January-13-03 Rutgers Swept by UNC, Florida State
CHAPEL HILL, NC -- The Rutgers men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams each suffered their first defeats of the season on Saturday, falling to North Carolina and Florida State. The No. 11 UNC women beat the Scarlet Knights, 207-93 and No. 20 Florida State registered a narrow 151-149 victory against RU. The men lost to the No. 25 Seminoles, 201-97 and No. 14 Tar Heels, 196-103.

December-08-02 Rutgers Finishes Second at Princeton Invitational
PRINCETON, NJ - The Rutgers men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams finished the Princeton Invitational in second place on Sunday, earning 1,344.5 points, trailing only Princeton in the combined standings. Both the men’s (603.5) and women’s (741) team placed second in its respective standings.

PRINCETON, NJ -- The Rutgers men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams enter Sunday’s final day of the Princeton Invitational in second place out of eight schools after competition on Saturday. The Scarlet Knights have earned 956.5 points after two days, trailing only Princeton.

PRINCETON, NJ -- The Rutgers men’s and women’s swimming and diving team finds itself in second place overall in the combined standings with 354 points after day one of the Princeton Invitational at the DeNunzio Pool. The RU men are in second with a score of 152, while the women are in third place in the women’s standings with a score of 202. Princeton leads the combined standings after the first day with a score of 686.
