PISCATAWAY, N.J. (October 24, 2013) – The Rutgers swimming and diving team will host its first dual meet of the season Friday, Oct. 25 against Wagner at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
The first swimming event of the afternoon will be the 200 medley relay. The diving events kick off at 4:05 p.m. with the 1-meter dive.
Rutgers most recently opened the campaign with its annual Sonny Werblin Invitational Oct. 18, where it won 13 of 17 events. Seniors Mary Moser (Wyomissing, Pa.) and Nicole Scott (Toronto, Canada) and sophomores Joanna Wu (Kent, Wash.) and Morgan Pfaff (Red Lion, Pa.) each concluded the two-day event with two first place finishes in their respective events. Moser was also a member of the 200 free relay and 400 medley relay teams that posted the best times, while Pfaff swam the backstroke leg of the 400 medley relay.
Wagner enters Friday’s competition with a 3-0 record after hosting three-straight dual meets to open the season. Most recently, the Seahawks hosted Northeast Conference rival Bryant and came up with a decisive 153-101 win in Staten Island, N.Y. Senior Meredith Ketchmark earned NEC Swimmer of the Week accolades after capturing four first-place wins against Bryant.
