May 4, 2008 Rutgers Men Take Fifth Place at the 2008 Outdoor BIG EAST Championships
VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Rutgers men's track and field team closed out Sunday's events to place fifth overall with 78 points at the 2008 Outdoor BIG EAST Championships in Villanova, Pa. After securing considerable points in the field events on Saturday, Rutgers returned to the track and added to its point total to finish in the top five.

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Sophomore Nick Crosta (Toms River, N.J.) won the men's decathlon to help guide the Rutgers men's track and field team to its fourth place standing at the 2008 Outdoor BIG EAST Championships. The Scarlet Knights currently hold fourth place with 34 points behind Connecticut in third with 35 points, Louisville in second with 54 points and Notre Dame in the overall lead with 58 points.
