MISSION STATEMENT
PRINCETON, N.J. — (October 15, 2012) – Rutgers men’s track & field has revealed its 2012-13 schedule, the program announced. The Scarlet Knights enter the 2012 indoor season after finishing third in the IC4A Championships and sixth at the BIG EAST Championships last year.
RU opens the season on Sat., Dec. 8 at the Princeton Invitational before returning home after the New Year to host the Rutgers Invitational from Jan. 4-5 at the Indoor Bubble on Busch Campus. Overall, the squad competes in 11 invite events before beginning championship season on Sat., Feb. 16 at the BIG EAST Championships. The Scarlet Knights complete their indoor slate at the IC4A Championships on Friday, March 1 in Boston, Mass.
Head coach Mike Mulqueen, in his 28th season at the helm of the program, will lead his squad to Tampa, Fla., to kick off the outdoor season at the Bull Invitational on Friday, March 15.
Highlighting the outdoor schedule is the Metropolitan Championships on Friday, April 12 and the storied Penn Relays on Friday, April 26 in Philadelphia. The Scarlet Knights return to Piscataway on Friday, May 3 to host the 2013 BIG EAST Championships, where the team finished 10th last season.
