GREENSBORO, N.C. (May 24, 2013) – Freshman Thomas Carr (Voorhees, N.J.) threw a personal best 65.84m to take 19th in the javelin at the 2013 NCAA East Region Championships at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.
Carr surpassed his previous best on his third and final throw of the afternoon. He bested his previous mark of 65.71m, which he captured in taking the BIG EAST Championship title in early May.
Competition for the Scarlet Knights wraps up on Saturday with the women’s 4x100 and 4x400 relays, senior Alexandra Kelly (Florham Park, N.J.) in the javelin, senior Kevin Bostick (Englewood, N.J.) in the triple jump and senior Adam Bergo (Plainfield, N.J.) in the high jump and triple jump.
