Crawford Takes Second at NCAA Regional

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 30, 2014) – Redshirt junior Corey Crawford (Oakland, N.J.) took second place in the long jump at the NCAA East Regional on Thursday and qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

    Crawford was the runner-up at a distance of 7.77m (25’ 6”) while Florida’s Marquis Dendy won the title at 7.82m (25’ 8”).

    Action at the NCAA East Regional will continue on Saturday with Chris Wyckoff (Toms River, N.J.) in the pole vault along with Crawford, freshman Jermaine Griffith (Hamilton, N.J.), sophomore Rajee Dunbar (Arlington, Va.) and junior D’Andre Jordan (Brooklyn, N.J.) competing in the 4x400.
