PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (April 27, 2013) – The Rutgers women’s 4x200 relay squad broke the school record for the second consecutive day as sophomore Gabrielle Farquharson (Williamstown, N.J.), senior Ekene Ugboaja (Edison, N.J.), junior Tylia Gillon (New Egypt, N.J.) and redshirt junior Asha Ruth (Bowie, Md.), took second in the prestigious Championship of America Finals on the final day of the 119th running of the Penn Relays.
The Scarlet Knights, who broke the record originally during the opening round heats on Friday afternoon, reset the record again with a time of 1:32.66, besting their previous performance by 1.51 seconds. Their time is currently the third fastest time in the country.
