GREENSBORO, N.C. (May 24, 2013) – Redshirt junior Asha Ruth (Bowie, Md.) competed in her second event at the 2013 NCAA East Region Championships at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University on Friday taking 26th in the 200m.
Ruth, who on Thursday qualified for the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore in June, clocked in with a time of 24.31. She was making her first regional appearance in the 200m and will compete on Saturday as a member of RU’s relay teams.
Competition for the Scarlet Knights wraps up on Saturday with the women’s 4x100 and 4x400 relays, senior Alexandra Kelly (Florham Park, N.J.) in the javelin, senior Kevin Bostick (Englewood, N.J.) in the triple jump and senior Adam Bergo (Plainfield, N.J.) in the high jump and triple jump.
