December-12-02 Bush Named AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Shayla Bush (Spokane, WA), a junior on the Rutgers women’s volleyball team, has been named an honorable mention selection to the AVCA Division I All-Region Team, it was announced today. This marks the second time Bush has been named to the AVCA All-Region Team, as she was a Northeast Region first team selection last season.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers junior volleyball player Shayla Bush (Spokane, WA) was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team at the annual pre-championship banquet this weekend. It marks the second time Bush has earned All-BIG EAST honors, as she was named to the first team last season.

November-17-02 Rutgers Falls to Villanova in Season Finale, 3-1
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Rutgers women’s volleyball team fell to Villanova, 3-1 (24-30, 30-28, 26-30, 27-30) in the final match for the Scarlet Knights this season. Rutgers finishes the season with a record of 17-11, 6-7 in the BIG EAST, while Villanova improves to 18-16, 7-6 in conference play. The match was Senior Day, as Pualani Tuyay (San Diego, CA), Lauren Venarchik (West Chester, PA) and Jen Hansen (Bakersfield, CA) played their final home matches at the College Avenue Gym.

November-16-02 Rutgers Sweeps Georgetown 3-0
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Rutgers women’s volleyball team swept Georgetown today, improving its record to 17-10 overall and 6-6 in conference play. With the loss, Georgetown falls to 16-13 overall and 6-6 in the BIG EAST.

November-14-02 Venarchik Named to Verizon Academic All District II Team
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers volleyball senior Lauren Venarchik (West Chester, PA) has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District II Volleyball Second Team, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). It marks the second consecutive year Venarchik has been named to the team.

November-10-02 Rutgers Falls to Connecticut 3-1
STORRS, CT – The Rutgers women’s volleyball team fell to Connecticut today in Storrs, CT, 3-1 (26-30, 31-33, 30-27, 26-30). Rutgers falls to 16-10 on the season and 5-6 in the BIG EAST. Connecticut improves to 13-13 overall and 8-3 in conference play.

November-08-02 Rutgers Evens BIG EAST Record with 3-1 Win Over St. John's
JAMAICA, NY - The Rutgers women’s volleyball team evened its BIG EAST record at 5-5 tonight with a victory at St. John’s by a score of 3-1 (30-22, 30-28, 28-30, 30-28). Rutgers’ record now stands at 16-9 overall this season, while the Red Storm fall to 15-15 overall, 4-6 in conference play.

November-03-02 Rutgers Defeats West Virginia 3-1
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Rutgers women’s volleyball team defeated West Virginia today at the College Avenue Gym, 3-1. The Scarlet Knights’ record now stands at 15-9 on the season, and 4-5 in the BIG EAST, while the Mountaineers fall to 9-16, 3-7 in conference play.

November-01-02 Rutgers Falls to Pittsburgh 3-2
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Rutgers women’s volleyball team fell to Pittsburgh today at the College Avenue Gym, 3-2. The Scarlet Knights record now stands at 14-9 on the season, and 3-5 in the BIG EAST, while the Panthers improve to 16-8, 6-3 in conference play.

October-28-02 Venarchik Named BIG EAST Player of the Week
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers senior middle hitter Lauren Venarchik (West Chester, PA) has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Oct. 28.
