PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Oct. 4, 2012) – The Rutgers women’s volleyball program is scheduled to host “Alumni Weekend” from Friday, Oct. 12 to Sunday, Oct. 14.
The weekend will begin with Rutgers taking on Syracuse at 6 p.m. in College Ave. Gym on Oct 12. Following the contest, there will be a social for all alumni at the Olive Branch, located behind the gym.
Prior to the Rutgers vs. Syracuse match on Saturday (Oct. 13), alumni can participate in “Welcome and Introductions,” starting at 9 a.m. in the Visitor’s Center on Busch Campus, followed by a pig roast tailgate in the yellow lot at 9:30 a.m.
The weekend will conclude with a Rutgers volleyball alumni match, set for 10 a.m. on Sunday. Graduates will be treated to brunch following the hour-long contest. The three-day event will finish with the Scarlet Knights facing BIG EAST foe Marquette at 2 p.m. Rutgers will hold a “Dig Pink” match against the Golden Eagles.
Fans will have the opportunity to donate cash to help in the fight against breast cancer at the match and can also donate at the team’s website by clicking here. The Scarlet Knights last held a “Dig Pink” match in 2009.
