| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers incoming freshman Trevor Melde (Wayne, N.J.) will wrestle in the Canada Cup, set to take place between June 24 and June 29 in Guelph, Ontario. Melde, a 141/149 pounder from DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, N.J., finished second at 140 in the NJSIAA Championships. InterMat ranks him as the No. 17 overall recruit in the country. |

Rutgers Wrestling to Host Golf Outing on Friday, Aug. 1 |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers wrestling team will host a golf outing at the RU Golf Course on Friday, August 1. The event will benefit the program and give fans the opportunity to meet head coach Scott Goodale and many of the wrestling letterwinners who have been a part of the program's rich history. |

Rutgers’ Recruiting Class Ranked Third by W.I.N. Magazine |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers wrestling's 2008-09 recruiting class has been ranked No. 3 in the country by W.I.N. Magazine. Under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, RU finished behind Minnesota and Central Michigan in the rankings. In October of 2007, Goodale's recruiting class was ranked No. 10 by W.I.N. |

Rutgers Wrestling 2007-08 Season Review |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, the Rutgers wrestling team vastly improved throughout the 2007-08 season. After struggling early in the fall, the Scarlet Knights won seven of their last nine matches of the season and were able to send two wrestlers to the NCAA Championships. |

| ST. LOUIS, MO. – Two members of the Rutgers wrestling team, under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, competed in the NCAA Wrestling Championships in St. Louis, Mo., on Thursday, March 20. Redshirt senior Steve Adamcsik (Chester, N.J.) was eliminated from the tournament after he dropped two bouts on the first day of action. Junior Lamar Brown (Red Bank, N.J.) lost his first match 2-1, but won in wrestlebacks and will compete on Friday, March 21. |

Their appearance in the tournament marks the first time that two RU wrestlers will compete in the prestigious event since 2004-05. |

Both wrestlers are heading to the NCAA Championships Thurs., March 20 in St. Louis, Mo., the first time that two Scarlet Knights will wrestle in the NCAA Championships since 2004-05. |
