PISCATAWAY, N.J. –
Rutgers field hockey opens the 2017 schedule this weekend with two home games, kicking off a slate of six home contests for the upcoming campaign. RU today has announced the promotional schedule for this season's home games.
Fans can pick up a team poster at the home opener Friday at 1 p.m. against Kent State, which is also designated as 'Free Stuff Friday'. The team plays again at 1 p.m. on Saturday on 'Youth and Junior Knights Day'. All are invited to stick around after the game, as the team will sign autographs on the giveaway posters.
Big Ten Conference play comes to Piscataway on Friday, September 22 at 3 p.m. against the Indiana Hoosiers. Prior to the game will be a season t-shirt giveaway. On Sunday, September 24, the noon game against Iowa is 'Alumni Day', the culmination of an Alumni Weekend planned for all former RU field hockey players, who are invited back to the Banks for the weekend.
On Sunday, October 15 a 1 p.m. contest against Ohio State is the "White Out Game". All fans are encouraged to wear white and pick up a giveaway white rally towel.
The home schedule concludes on Sunday, October 22, as a 1 p.m. contest against Maryland is Senior Day. The team will honor five seniors (Katie Beilin

and Haley Meade
) in a pregame ceremony.
All home games are played at the Bauer Track and Field Complex. Admission to all contests is free.
