Rutgers gymnastics welcomes eight newcomers to the roster for the 2020 season. The Meet R Freshmen series continues with Hannah Joyner from Waldorf, Maryland.

One word to describe your coach: Strong and Motivating
Best athlete ever competed against: Morgan Hurd
Favorite place to hang out on campus: Chipotle and Vivi’s Bubble Tea
The person I most admire is and why: My mom and dad because they support me through everything and have always been there for me.
Favorite professional athlete: Michael Phelps
One word to describe myself in competition: Focused
One word to describe myself outside of competition: Energetic and happy
Few people know that I: trained with Simone Biles and Aimee Boorman was my coach. Also, that I have known how to write in cursive since kindergarten.
I chose Rutgers because: it’s a great school athletically and academically.
Favorite cereal: Captain Crunch
The movie I’ve watched most in my lifetime is: Bedtime Stories
The best actress to play me in a movie is: Alexandra Daddario
Favorite musician/group: Earthgang
If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a gold medal in: dancing to songs that I like and watching Dance Moms.
Famous people I have met include: Simone Biles and most of National Team.
Rituals I have before, during, or after a meet are: Pray and go through visual routines.
Pets I had growing up were: Dog named Jojo

One thing on my bucket list is: to own my own gym and take gymnasts to elite level and go out of the country.
