Thank You, Aolani

Senior forward Aolani Colón has made a strong impact on the Rutgers women's soccer family on and off the field. The Winter Springs, Florida native will miss the friendships she has made the most, and the second family that brought her in being far away from home. One of Colón's favorite memories was the teams trip to Spain her sophomore year, where she really enjoyed experiencing a new culture with her teammates and the chance to watch and play soccer in a part of the world where the game is so monumental.
During her time “On the Banks,” Colón has battled through season-ending injuries all while supporting and bettering the program, and still achieving high academics. The biomedical engineering major is a member of the Rutgers Honors College, having earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and Dean’s List recognition for her outstanding work in the classroom. Following graduation, Colón will pursue a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on disease modeling and tissue engineering.
Colón continues the program's tradition of sharing a “Thank You, Rutgers” note, reflecting on her career as a Scarlet Knight.
