Track and Field 2020-21 Season in Review

The Rutgers track and field program continued its pursuit of excellence this season in the classroom and in competition. The Scarlet Knights collected numerous accolades from All-America honors to Academic All-Big Ten recognition, breaking multiple school records along the way. RU highlights some of the top moments from the year.

TF Season Recap - Perry Big Ten Champion

Following his Big Ten Indoor Title in the high jump, Perry Christie was named the NCAA DI Mid-Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). He cleared a height of 2.18m (7' 1.75") to outpace the second-place jumper by two and three-quarter inches. Christie, who owns the school record in the event at 2.23m, added a gold medal to his bronze finish in the high jump at the 2020 Big Ten Indoor Championships.
