ROSEMONT, Ill. – Senior back Emily Mason has been named the Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the week, while freshman midfielder Shaela Bradley earned her first conference award with the Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

Mason anchored the defense playing all 180 minutes in a pair of shutouts last week – 3-0 against Oregon and 1-0 over Washington – stretching Rutgers' streak to six consecutive clean sheets. Mason's work on the backline held Oregon to one shot on goal and Washington to three shots on target. The Flemington, N.J. native sent a long ball over the defense to assist Riley Tiernan's game-winner in the fourth minute of the 1-0 victory against Washington on Sunday.
