Rutgers University Athletics

A native of Montville, N.J., Ken Shimabuku in his third year with Rutgers Baseball and currently serves as a student manager. 

In his role, Shimabuku helps set up practices, manages film and compiles data and analytics using Synergy and Trackman technology. 

Prior to joining the RU baseball program, Shimabuku was a sprinter on the track & field team at Sacred Heart. 

Shimabuku attended Montville High School, where he was a standout soccer player and track & field athlete. He scored nine goals and added four assists in his career, leading the Mustangs to back-to-back sectional titles. On the track, Shimabuku won the NJSIAA North 1 Group 3 sectional crown with a time of 6.71 in the 55 meter. 

A senior in the School of Arts and Sciences, Shimabuku is working on his bachelor's degree in sport management at Rutgers.
