RU Wrestling Cruises Past Princeton, 25-9

Following Austin's win, junior Amir Khan (Voorhees, NJ), sophomore Chris Ressa (Andover, NJ) and sophomore Andy Roy (Wall, NJ) emerged victorious to build a commanding advantage. Khan beat Milo Adams, 9-5, while Ressa won his team-leading 26th match, 7-3, over Charlie Wiggins. Roy, returning to action after missing the last three duals, shutout Steve Avsec, 5-0.
At 184, fourth-seeded Greg Parker scored an 18-2 (5:23) tech fall over Rudy Medini (Colonia, NJ), but seniors Ryan McGrath (Blairstown, NJ) and Frank Sabatino (Hazlet, NJ) rebounded with back-to-back wins at 197 and 285, extending RU's lead to 19-3.
Freshman Shaun Sehar (Harrisburg, PA) won at 125, 6-3, over Seth Dunipace, while Andrew Tilles (Devon, PA) defeated Brian Kirschbaum, 6-4. The win already sealed, Rutgers' Jon Rodriguez (Bound Brook, NJ) fell to Princeton's Joe Clark, 12-4, to conclude the competition.
With the win, RU is now 28-33-5 all-time vs. Princeton, but 7-1-1 under head coach John Sacchi - with seven-consecutive wins. Rutgers has now also beaten both New Jersey schools, including a 19-14 win over Rider on January 22.
Rutgers will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 20, when it travels to Philadelphia, PA to face Drexel at 7:00 p.m.
