RU Wrestling Ends Season with 21-13 Win Over Bloomsburg

Rutgers received a key win at 197 from John Foscolo (South Plainfield, NJ), who was filling in for incumbent starter Ryan McGrath (Blairstown, NJ). Senior Frank Sabatino (Hazlet, NJ) followed with a 3-1, double-overtime win over Pat Spirelli to close his RU dual match career and increase the lead to 12-6.
Wins from Shaun Sehar (Harrisburg, PA) at 125, Jonathan Rodriguez (Bound Brook, NJ) at 141 and Greg Austin (Seaville, NJ) at 149 sealed the win.
Rutgers secured the win despite forfeiting at 174 and having freshman Gene Zannetti (Edison, NJ) and junior Amir Khan (Voorhees, NJ) wrestle at a higher weight class. Zannetti, who serves as the 149-pound back-up, dropped a 15-6 decision to nationally-ranked George Carter at 157 while Khan, the usual starter at 157, bested Ryan Garner, 10-6, at 165.
