
Football Mourns Loss of Ryan Comeau

Former Scarlet Knight letterwinner passed away after battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football letterwinner Ryan Comeau, 41, passed away on Sunday, May 6 following a more than year long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Comeau is survived by his wife Diana and their two children.
A two-time letterwinner as a member of the 1997 and 1998 football teams, Comeau played along the offensive line. Comeau resided in West Milford, N.J., with his family where he was a physical education teacher and athletic director at Chatham Day School. He also served as an assistant coach at Newark East Side High School and most recently at Union High School.
Friends may visit with the family at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne, on Thursday, May 10 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 11 from the funeral home, then to St. Mary's RC Church, Pompton Lakes, where at 11 a.m. a Funeral mass will be offered.
In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to help by offering their support to his wife and children. Please visit their fundraising page at http://www.youcaring.com. An email address has been established as well, with the intent that friends will express their sympathy, and also share their favorite memories and stories.
