Future conference opponents and dates set
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Big Ten office released football conference schedules through 2025 on Wednesday. The league will continue to play nine conference games, which started in 2016.
As part of the Big Ten East, Rutgers will host Indiana, Michigan and Penn State in even-numbered years, while playing Maryland, Michigan State and Ohio State at home in odd-numbered seasons. Divisional road trips will be vice versa.
The Scarlet Knights have three contests per season against opponents in the Big Ten West to round out the slate. There will be two home cross-divisional games in 2022 and 2024, and therefore five total league home games. The 2023 season opens with a home game against Northwestern, which will be the first conference game to begin a RU campaign since 2009.
The Big Ten games from 2019 to 2021 were previously released.
