Bridgett Places Third in Long Jump to Highlight Day 2 at Florida Relays for Men's T/F

GAINESVILLE, FLA. – Rutgers men's track and field continued its weekend at the Pepsi Florida Relays on Friday. The Scarlet Knights have recorded two Top 3 finishes and five Top 10 finishes through two days of competition.
Graduate student Chris Mirabelli finished second in the javelin to start things off on Thursday, while freshman A'Nan Bridgett placed third in the long jump on Friday.
TRACK EVENTS
Senior Izaiah Brown finished sixth in the 200m invite, posting a time of 20.68. Sophomore Taj Burgess recorded a Top 10 finish in the 400m, clocking a time of 46.43 to cross the line ninth.
Sophomore Christopher Jenkins recorded a mark of 53.21 in the 400m hurdles followed by freshman Jameson Woodell with a mark of 54.45 in the event.
In the 1500m, junior Cole Pschunder clocked a time of 3:52.31, while sophomore Billy Hill posted a result of 3:57.67. Juniors Jason Schweizer (1:51.93) and Sean Martinek (1:53.14) represented RU in the 800m.
FIELD EVENTS
Freshman A'Nan Bridgett placed third in the long jump with a leap of 7.37m (24' 2.25"). Sophomore Malachi Davis followed with a mark of 7.08 (23' 2.75").
In the high jump, sophomore Qayyim Ali tied for fifth with a 2.06m (6' 9") result.
Freshman Kamron Kobolak posted a throw of 40.50m (132' 10") in the discus.
On Thursday, Mirabelli finished second in the javelin with a throw of 66.54m (218' 4").
Redshirt-junior Greg Harnett followed in fifth with a mark of 63.57m (208' 7"), besting his result from the season opener. Junior Michael Thomas rounded out the field for RU with a throw of 60.32m (197' 11").
