Suriano Represents USA Wrestling at 2021 Henri Deglane Grand Prix

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – 2019 NCAA Champion Nick Suriano will compete for USA Wrestling at the 2021 Henri Deglane Grand Prix on Saturday, Jan. 16 in Nice, France. The Paramus, New Jersey, native will wrestle in the senior freestyle bracket at 57 kilograms, with the tournament streamed via FloWrestling.
Qualification rounds and finals for all men's freestyle weights will begin at 10:30 a.m. local time (4:30 a.m. ET) and will run throughout the day. Suriano is one of three USA Wrestling members competing at 57 kilograms, joining two-time US World Team member and three-time NCAA champion Thomas Gilman and reigning US National champion Vito Arujau.
Suriano, who qualified for the 2020 US Olympic Trials after he finished fourth at US Nationals, has produced 54 wins during his collegiate career at Rutgers. Suriano went 29-3 in his last full season of collegiate competition in 2018-19 en route to 2019 Big Ten and NCAA titles.
