PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Chris Corso has joined the Rutgers University Division of Athletics as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. Corso will be the primary athletic communications contact for the Scarlet Knights' men's basketball and men's golf programs.
A Long Island, New York native, Corso has spent the last seven years in the National Football League with the Minnesota Vikings as the Digital Media Coordinator and Audio Producer. Corso managed communications, along with the direction of digital and radio content, including the production of "Under Center with Kirk Cousins."
"I am thrilled to be joining the Rutgers Athletics Communications office," Corso said. "Throughout my career in the NFL with the Vikings, I strived to tell the stories of our players, coaches and staff through our communication efforts and digital platforms. I can't wait to bring this experience to help represent and tell the stories of the men's basketball and golf programs to build on what coaches Steve Pikiell and Rob Shutte have already established."
Corso graduated with a degree in sports journalism from UMass, where he also completed internships with the New York Mets as a public relations intern, NHL.com as a website production intern and with ABC News as a sports production intern. Corso is completing a master's degree in journalism innovation online at Syracuse in 2021.
Corso resides in Somerville, N.J. with his wife, Nicole, and their black lab, Georgie.
