PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Big Ten announced updates to its 2021 football schedule on Friday. Rutgers is set to play the previously-announced 12 opponents at the same location, but with shuffled dates for the conference slate. The schedule was updated in order to accommodate several games across the league that adjusted locations as a result of changes made during the 2020 scheduling process.
The Scarlet Knights are still set to open at home versus Temple on Sept. 4 before traveling to Syracuse on Sept. 11. The third non-conference game is against Delaware at SHI Stadium on Sept. 18.
Big Ten play begins at Michigan on Sept. 25, with other road contests at Northwestern (Oct. 16), Illinois (Oct. 30), Indiana (Nov. 13) and Penn State (Nov. 20). The four home conference games are scheduled versus Ohio State (Oct. 2), Michigan State (Oct. 9), Wisconsin (Nov. 6) and the regular season finale against Maryland (Nov. 27). The open date is week eight.
Season tickets for the six home games at SHI Stadium are on sale now. Call 866-445 GORU (4678) for more information.
