PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers volleyball found steam late across all three sets against No. 12 Purdue at Jersey Mike's Arena on Sunday afternoon, but it was Boilermakers pulling ahead in each frame for the 25-21, 25-21, 25-18.
Rutgers, which was facing its fourth top 25 teams of the season, fell to 10-10 overall and 1-7 in the Big Ten. Purdue upped its overall record to 15-3 and improved to 6-3 in Big Ten play.

- Senior Lexi Visintine led the attack with 10 kills and added eight digs, while sophomore Aspen Maxwell added nine kills, five digs and a team-leading four blocks.
- Sophomore Lily Bolen put up 24 assists and captured seven digs for the defense.
- Junior Jenna DeLaMater and Bolen collected a pair of aces.
- While Maxwell led at the next, junior Zora Hardison contributed a trio of blocks to up her career total to 207 and move into the top 10 on the Rutgers' rally-era career total blocks list. She needs five more to move into ninth past Beka Kojadinovic (2017-21).
- SET 1 (21-25) | The Scarlet Knights held the lead on the nation's 12th-ranked squad at the midway point of the opening frame. Rutgers embarked on an 8-2 run, which included aces from Lily Bolen and Jenna DeLaMater, to take a 16-13 lead. Purdue, however, responded with three straight to even the score during a 9-2 run. The Boilermaker burst put the visitors up 22-18. A Lexi Visintine swing saw RU's last lead at 18-17 with Purdue capturing the next five points en route to the set victory.

- SET 2 (21-25) | Visintine swung again for a Rutgers advantage in the following frame as she gave RU a 13-12 lead. A Â Purdue service error had the Scarlet Knights up 14-13, but the Boilermakers responded with six unanswered. While the visitors had a 10-14 advantage, the set was far from over. The Scarlet Knights rallied by outscoring the Boilermakers 8-2. The run was capped by six unanswered points with a kill from Tara Garvey pulling RU within a point down 22-21. The Boilermakers, however, collected three straight kills to take the set.

- SET 3 (18-25) | Purdue collected four-straight points to go ahead 5-3 and stayed in front. While the Boilermakers led by as many as nine, the Scarlet Knights outscored the visitors 5-3 down the stretch and thwarted three match point opportunities for Purdue before they wrapped up the afternoon.
