• Rutgers defeated Navy, 24-12, on Nov. 8 in a neutral-site match in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Scarlet Knights worked a 7-3 match split with the Midshipmen, including bonus-point victories from Anthony White (157) and Shane Cartagena-Walsh (184).
• Ayden Smith (125) and Joseph Olivieri (141) added ranked wins to their resumes, while Dylan Shawver (133), Ryan Ford (165) and Remy Cotton (197) all contributed decisions to help the program to its first 4-0 start since 2021-22.
• Four Scarlet Knights also delivered individual titles at the 2025 Journeymen Collegiate Classic on Nov. 9 in Bethlehem. Freshman Easton Doster went 4-0 en route to an individual title in 157-Pound Brown Division, while classmate Devon Magro delivered three wins to secure first in the 149-Pound White Division.
• Competing unattached, redshirt freshman Nick Villani (149) and sophomore Conner Harer (157) earned individual titles in their respective pools, with both going 3-0 on the day.

In the Rankings

• Rutgers moved up to No. 13 in this week's NWCA Coaches Poll. The program is ranked within the top 20 by Intermat, FloWrestling and The Open Mat, appearing as high as No. 7 nationally (The Open Mat).
• Eleven Scarlet Knights are ranked in at least one national poll, with all 10 weights ranked by both Intermat and FloWrestling. RU is one of just six schools nationally with all 10 of its starters ranked by Intermat, which includes No. 3 Iowa, No. 4 Ohio State, No. 5 Nebraska, No. 16 Missouri and No. 17 South Dakota State.
• Ford and Smith make their career debuts in the rankings. Smith checks in at No. 32 by Intermat and No. 33 by FloWrestling, while Ford is No. 31 by FloWrestling. Classmate Andrew Barbosa (165), who has not competed yet this season, is No. 29 by Intermat.
• Rutgers features five wrestlers ranked within the top 12 by at least one publication, including Cartagena-Walsh, Olivieri, Shawver, Lenny Pinto (174) and Hunter Catka (HWT). The quintet is a combined 11-2 during the first two weeks of the regular season with nine of those wins coming by bonus.
