Donation Policy
AUTOGRAPH POLICY
Outside of organized, Rutgers-sponsored autograph sessions, the Rutgers Athletic Department and individual sport offices will no longer accept requests for items autographed by student-athletes. Requests for items autographed by coaches will be considered for all in-state non-profit charitable organizations. Autographed items cannot and will not be provided to a high school, preparatory or two-year college for fundraising for the benefit of a high school staff member or organization. Additionally, autograph requests for personal use will not be considered.
All requests for autographed items must be made in writing and sent to the Rutgers Sports Marketing Office.
Note: The sale or exchange of an item autographed by a student-athlete for anything of value is a violation of NCAA rules, and can jeopardize the student-athlete's eligibility.
CHARITABLE DONATION POLICY
New Jersey non-profit charitable organizations, recognized institutional organizations (i.e. fraternity, sorority, student government, etc.), and educational institutions (8th grade and below) may submit donation requests for up to one (1) event per year to be considered for a charitable donation by the Rutgers Athletic Department. Per NCAA legislation, collegiate athletic departments are prohibited from donating to high schools or organizations that directly benefit prospective student-athletes.
The Rutgers Athletic Department reserves the right to determine which requests it will approve, and what item(s) it is able to donate. Items may include, but are not limited to, promotional t-shirts or other giveaway items; and in some cases, individual game tickets for select games for Rutgers Men's or Women's Basketball.
